Tuesday night saw a batch of Orlando City players play for their respective national teams.
That group consisted of a Canadian, a Salvadorian and a Trinidadian.
Cyle Larin played the full 90 minutes in Canada’s 2-0 loss to Mexico in a World Cup qualifier at the Estadio Azteca.
Darwin Cerén played the complete 90 minutes in El Salvador’s 2-0 loss to Honduras in a World Cup qualifier. The Orlando City midfielder has played a total of 180 minutes in this current international break.
Meanwhile, Kevin Molino scored for the first time since his season-ending ACL injury that he suffered on May 2, 2015, in a club friendly against Ponte Preta. His goal came in the 67th minute in Trinidad and Tobago’s 6-0 thumping of St. Vincent and Grenadines.
Molino’s last professional goal before the injury was on Sept. 6, 2014, during Orlando City’s final regular-season game in the USL that ended with 1-0 win over the Richmond Kickers.
