Philadelphia Union thrashes Orlando City in season finale

Just like Orlando City’s playoff aspiration ended earlier than expected, so did Sunday’s season finale against the Philadelphia Union. 

Four first-half goals from the Union ensured a 6-1 victory over the Lions at Talen Energy Stadium.

two goals each from Ilsinho, Fabrice-Jean Picault and CJ Sapong led the way as the Union finished the 2017 season a record of 11-14-9 to sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference table with 42 points.

Orlando City finished the 2017 season 10-15-9 with 39 points, 10th in the Eastern Conference table.
